As season one is nearing its completion, Fox has thrilled fans by announcing that they have ordered a second season of the #1 new series among adults 18-49, FRINGE. Despite its apparent success, FRINGE was one of several shows “on the bubble” of getting axed after this season.
FRINGE, co-created and produced by mastermind J. J. Abrams (Alias, Lost, Cloverfield), follows a division of the FBI which investigates strange occurences (a la X-Files) that seem to be related to the work of former mental patient/scientist extraordinaire Walter Bishop, who specialized in what is referred to as “fringe science”. The show airs Tuesday nights on Fox, and the season finale is set to air next Tuesday, May 12.
